Cuauhtémoc Pérez is a portrait photographer from Brenham, Texas. He will be graduating from Sam Houston State University in December 2025 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography. Pérez restricted himself with collage, digital and many formats of analog photography; his work consists of staged scenarios with characters that are often inserted in stereotyped or that of the abnormal in a filmesque style. Pérez has exhibited work throughout Huntsville, Texas such as Satellite Gallery, University Gallery, University XSpace, Be Free Gallery, Katy & Don Walker, Sr. Education Center Exhibit Gallery and other local venues. He has also participated in the curation of the 2025 Imerj Art and Advocacy Projects at Be Free Gallery Grand Opening. He has received the 2023 Sam Houston State University Recreational Sports Marketing Staff Member of the Year for being recognized as a photographer. As well as receiving second place of the 2024 Sam Houston Memorial Museum Photography Contest in the Advanced Portrait category.
